 Labor Day Fall Kick-Off Classic
"The Classic"

North Reading is proud to host the annual Fall Kick-Off Classic. North Reading’s goal is to offer a non-competitive and competitive experience to coaches and players looking to give their teams a head start on the season. The Fall Kick-Off Classic is a great way for teams to get some game time in before the fall season begins. "The Classic" has always enjoyed a great participation from teams around the Essex and Middlesex region and beyond.

Our tournament committee works hard to make sure the Labor Day weekend is an enjoyable experience for players, coaches and spectators. "The Classic" team of volunteers creates an environment that gives U10 to U14 players a weekend of great soccer. The U10 games are non-competitive based and organized as a group of games that promotes the feeling of fun and excitement. The older players in U12 and U14 will enjoy a competitive weekend of games on Sat and Sun with the hopes of finishing in "Classic" style in the playoffs and championship games on Monday.

Our tournament is currently accepting teams in the U10, U12 and U14 age groups in both the boys and girls divisions. "The Classic" accepts teams from the Recreational and Recreational Plus leagues and promotes Intramural and Travel league teams to join in the weekend fun. "The Classic" is a patch tournament where teams will exchange their club/team patch with another player of the opposing team after each U10 game and each of the U12 & U14 preliminary games.

The U10 teams will play a 6v6 format with 4 games. These games will be scheduled only on Saturday and Sunday. Age appropriate goals will be used and all games are two, 25 minute halves. Participation awards will be given after the final game on Sunday.  The U12 teams will play a 8v8 format with 3 games in the preliminary rounds on Saturday & Sunday. Age appropriate goals will be used and all preliminary games are two, 25 minute halves. Playoff and championship games will be played on Monday and will have two, 30 minute halves. Trophies will be awarded to all runners-up and champions.  The U14 teams will play a 11v11 format with 3 games in the preliminary rounds on Saturday & Sunday. Preliminary round games will have two, 25 minute halves. Playoff and championship games will be played on Monday and will have two, 30 minute halves.

Trophies will be awarded to all runners-up and champions.
